Oster 6812-001 Core 16-Speed Blender with Glass Jar, Black Reviews
Having pondered buying a highend, expensive blender (Blendtec, Vitamix, etc) I just could not justify the price for what I needed. We drink a few smoothies each week and I make my own energy bars (dates, nuts, fruit, etc). So I was looking for a machine to accomplish these types of things.br /br /I am happy with my purchase, the only design fearture I do not care for:br /br /1. the black collar is a nuisance and I do not use it since it is optional, but it is suppose to help stabalize the jar when you set it on the counterbr /2. the lid does not fit as snug as my old Oster, so if you are blending at capacity-hold the top down just in case.

Good blender - Marisa E. Haugen - Indiana
Good blender, like all blenders on this side of 100 bucks it has trouble with 1)small amounts and 2) things that aren't super liquidy.
oster blender - Linda M. England-pobanz - Ottawa, IL USA
The blender arrived quickly and intact. The glass jar is very heavy and thick, which I like. I didn't notice that it didn't have a button to just make it go on and off occassionally, (like a serge button), so I have to keep turning it on and off. I can do it with the ice button which works alright. The bottom is easy on and off which makes it easy to clean. Overall it's not a bad product for what I paid for it.
